What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had! Swayzie, Rezleigh, and Colin were all able to join Sue and I at our house for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Marissa and Mia had caught colds, and it was spreading. With my upcoming surgery, Marissa felt it better that they not come.
What a disappointment as we were so looking forward to them being able to gather with us. We've got plans to make up for that after I get through recovery!
As we were all sitting in the living room having appetizers and chatting, it began to snow ever so lightly. And then it got a little heavier, until by the time they left, we had well over an inch or so on the ground. I caught some nice pictures of all of that.
Sue working on her stuffing prep early that morning, though only after a nice cup of hot coffee!
Me trying to stay out of Sue's way and be helpful with the stuffing preparation.

But when Sue got out the bubble soap, that was the hit of the day for Rezleigh!
11:04am and you can just see the snow starting to fall.
This was taken at 1:49pm, and snow is coming down a little harder, and it's beginning to stick on the ground as the temperature has fallen considerably.
And this was the scene not much later at 2:08pm
Marissa gave me this big serving plate that she had painted an orange octopus on when she was in grammar school. I've always treasured it, and this was a great occasion to use it. I was sad that she wasn't there, but it was such a sweet reminder for me to use it.

We didn't stay outside too long as it was really getting cold.

6:00pm and time to head for home, and so Gramma Sue and The Beau Dog walked everyone out to the car. And it was still snowing. What a great day! What a beautiful day! Best day for me for sure!
