Saturday 07/27/24 Sue and I drove down to R.I. to visit Sue's daughter Jill.
It had been quite awhile since we had last visited, and so this was going to be a lot of fun.
While there, we spent a wonderful few hours at the 19 acre Mystic Seaport site. While the girls visited the really expansive sea glass exhibition tents, I wandered along the docks looking at everything. Great day!
To top off our visit, we visited the Saltwater Farm Vineyard located between Mystic, CT and Westerly, RI in Stonington, CT.
The vineyard sits on "... 100 acres of coastal property featuring a renovated WWII vintage hangar opening onto terraces and the vineyard." We sat out on their second story outdoor deck, and listened to a local musician perform while folks wandered through the vineyard as the sun began to ease down toward the horizon.
Andiamo Restaurant, Mystic, CT where we took Jill to dinner.
Great food and lots of fun just hanging out at Andiamo Restaurant!
Dockside view of the 19 acre Mystic Seaport site.
Tents to the left was where the sea glass exhibit was being held.
View of the Charles W. Morgan which we went on board to check out.
On the second floor outside deck at Saltwater Farm Vineyard looking over the vineyard.
Just about to call it a day after such a great visit with Jill.
