10/28/23: Day With Mia In Dover

Sue and I scooped Mia up for the day, to hang out in Dover.

Our first stop was the Dover Public Library for their annual book sale. We've gone to support them for 20 years, and we've brought Mia with us over the years since she's been tiny. I didn't want to stay too long because Sue is still recovering from her surgery, and gets really tired easily.

From the library we drove downtown to check out a new cafe Sue had read about. But there was nothing on their menu that interested any of us, particularly Mia.

Back in the car for a short drive down to the Farm Restaurant on the Cochecco River just off the main downtown area. We got a table out on the large deck overlooking the river, and had a terrific meal.

After lunch, Mia said that she'd like to go to Henry Law Park, also on the Cochecco, to swing and see what was going on. It was such a nice day, and the park was busy with small kids, as well as older folks just sitting in some of the benches that are scattered around the play area as well as along the water.

It was a really nice time to share with Mia.

I started the day off by taking Beau for a walk through the woods on one of the trails at Leary Field before we headed out to pick Mia up. She was at the house as Marissa has several more weeks off with new baby Maisie.
