Sue and I headed out Saturday 05/13/23 to spend Mothers Day weekend in RI with Jill.
We had a very leisurely few hour drive to the hotel we were staying at, got changed, and then drove into Westerly, RI to meet Jill for dinner at The Brazen Hen.
Sunday morning, Sue and I grabbed coffee on the way down to one of the town beaches. While she walked along the sand, I stayed back in one of the small pavilions, and sipped my coffee while listening to the waves roll up onto the sandy beach.
After Jill finished some things she had to take care of, Sue drove over to her place to spend a few hours with her. They had a couple of places that had wanted to go to, and I just stayed back at the hotel and read as I wanted them to have a nice Mother's Day visit.
When Sue got back to the hotel and got cleaned up, we drove down into Westerly for dinner. Jill met us later in one of the neatest bookshops I've been in (ReReads Bookshop), and then we headed over to the United Theater to hear Shawn Colvin in concert. What a great time we had listening to so many of her wonderful hits.
It was up early and out the door Monday morning as I had a dentist appointment in Dover, NH at 2:00pm. Though we had plenty of time, you just never know how traffic around the 290 belt would be. But all for just a couple of congested spots, we made great time, picked Beau up at the kennel, and then I was off to my appointment. It was great that Sue and Jill were able to connect for Mother's Day.
Here's mom in her glory at the beach!
