Monday 02/21/22, Sue and I shared a pottery class with Mia taught by our friend Sarah from Sweet Fern Pottery.
She and Sue had such a good time this past summer playing with the wheel that Sue had bought for her that I wanted us to share that experience in a professional setting so Mia could see exactly what the whole spectrum of the development of a piece was.
After running down and picking Mia up, she and I took Beau out for a walk through the woods out behind the house while Sue took care of some stuff she had to finish up inside.
Me and Mia getting started working on the base of what would become our fairy houses.
Sarah checking out Mia's form for her fairy house, which was actually pretty cool the way you did it with the clay.
Yeah, I had to peek over at what Mia was doing to make sure I was on the right track....
Mia surveying her basic structure. She added a few more details, and worked the roof into shape. Sarah will fire them, then glaze them, and then fire them again. We'll see how they ultimately come out in a few weeks.
When we got back home, Sue and Mia took Beau out into the snow to throw a ball around for him.
