Thursday 12/09/21, Chuck arrived for a short visit. He met up with the kids for dinner, and had a great time with them. They kept him up late, though I hear it was really the other way around, but that was okay as he was staying at Marissa and Gary's house while here.

He drove up to our house late Friday morning 12/10/21, and we just hung out enjoying our time together. He also spent all of Saturday with us, then another gathering with the kids on Sunday before heading back home on Monday.

Me starting to get Friday night's dinner of spaghetti with both sweet and spicy ground Italian sausage going. Note the red wine: what I thought was a common but pleasant Carlo Rossi Paisano red jug wine, turned out not to be a hit with Chuck, the now wine snob.

But no arguments with the dinner! Good thing because Beau would be in no mood to share his dinner with Chuck.

At my trading desk in the library Saturday morning showing Chuck my sad tale of the week that later turned into a really nice gain when I ended up closing the trade later the following week.

Wine in place Saturday late afternoon (actually just after 4:00 pm and the 'flag' is up), Sue and I play 1 set of 3 games and a 'death match' at backgammon after I got a nice fire going in the wood stove. You can see that a Phil Collins song is playing on Pandora in the background.

Sue prodding me to get on with the dinner! I fixed a great spicy shrimp dish marinated in scallions, ginger root, wine, and other herbs over linguine. This time with Josh Cabernet, for the wine snob....

Chuck snapped this picture of the house through the rain as he was pulling out of the driveway just after 10:30pm to head to Marissa's. We wouldn't see him again this trip, so to send him off you can see me shining a flashlight beam at him. What he didn't see was both Sue and I standing on the couch to do this!
