Sue drove down Saturday morning 12/04/21 and grabbed Mia up for the day.
Not only did she help us decorating our tree, but we took her over to see our friend Sarah Burns at her open house at Sweet Fern Pottery.
Mia checking out our tree right after walking in the door.
Sarah showing Mia her latest fired works in the kiln.
Sue and Mia warming up over a cup of hot chocolate.
Mia helping me start decorating the tree.
The girls just having fun decorating.
Mia looking at one of the ornaments we have with pictures of her mom and uncle Colin when they were her age. She was amazed....
Chasing Beau around to hold still while I try to soap him down to get the bear shit off that he seemed compelled to roll in on his walk in the woods with Sue yesterday.
Sue made up this great display of Mia's 6 month old hand prints in the shape of a christmas tree. The framed hand prints, and the little jars are things Mia has made over the years and given to us. Thus, this is "Mia's corner" . . .
Sue showing her hand made Indian drum from she was a kid to Mia as they had a sandwich for lunch.
And then it was on to a small craft project that Sue thought Mia would enjoy. I don't have the patience for that sort of detailed crafts, but Mia was pretty intent all the way through.
Picture of the sun setting as we came back from dropping Mia off back home.
Spectacular shot!
Sue's display all lit up as dusk settles around the house.
A nice, simply decorated tree, shared with love and time.
