Sue and I had a really fun time the day after Thanksgiving. Primary to the day was getting out early, and shopping for poinsettias, which entailed me getting up early as well.
But I was looking forward to doing this with her as it's something we can share together each year. So, as soon as She and Beau got back from their short bid-ness walk out back, we packed into the car and were off.
After shopping, we headed for the Rail Trail to walk Beau back to the waterfalls, which I really enjoy. And Beau likes it as well!
We actually ended up hiking further back through the woods beyond the waterfalls into an area we hadn't been in before. We didn't go too far even through we had our orange vests on because this is pretty dense forest area with the potential for lots of hunters. In fact, we did hear a few shots in the distance. We'll come back to investigate this another time, though.
We took the longer, back roads home as it was such a beautiful day.
Because Beau was coming with us to shop for poinsettias, and would have to be in the car, Sue strapped both of them in orange, and took him for a short walk to do his bid-ness before we left.

I sent this picture to Marissa to see if Mia could tell where we were, and her reply came back immediately: 'the waterfalls' because Sue has brought her here many times to walk.

And the water was just surging over the cliff and down into the basin.
