It was such a beautiful September day that Sue and I went apple picking at Butternut Farm.
"Let's get on with it!"
The farm has been busy as evidenced by many of the rows being fairly well picked out.
You have to look closely to find even this level of ripeness. But they were good!

Sue had found a recipe for Tricolor Quinoa Salad With Black Beans And Arugula which I added some great pieces of sweet sausage to, as well as a nice bottle of Chennin Blanc for the evening.
