Wednesday 07/15/20 Sue and I took advantage of the great weather and did a Blue Job blueberry picking hike.
It was also Abbie's 90th Birthday, and so we called her. Had just the nicest chat. She was headed over later to Scott's to celebrate.
The last time we had gone up Blue Job was our 05/12/20: Hike Up Blue Job, and it had been really cold and unbelievably windy. Today, the temperature was warm, and there was just the gentlest of breezes rustling through the trees.
We stopped on the way up, and picked a container of blue berries at the same spot we did during our 08/03/19: Mia Comes For a Sleepover visit, though that was the time we all got caught in a horrendous downpour coming down the mountain. But all great fun!
Because there had been a lot of fog and clouds the last couple of days, you could see the stark contrast in the distance between that and the surrounding mountains. Sue wanted to stop along the way down to pick another container of blueberries. I see blueberry pie in the future....
On the way home, we spotted a farmer haying his field, and Sue had me stop the car so she could grab a picture. It's just so lovely up here. We're so very, very fortunate to be right in the middle of Nature at its best.
