It was such a beautiful day Tuesday 05/12/20 that Sue wanted to take our first hike of the season up Blue Job Mountain. We loaded Beau into the car, and we were off by 9:00 am!
Beau leaped out of the car as soon as we got to the parking area, and headed up the road before Sue got her camera gear strapped on.
This is about 2/3 of the way up the .8 mile trail to the top. Picture is looking basically North.
Me, Janis, and Beau bundled up to the wind just below the last leg to the top.
Sue got this shot of the amazing view from the top.
Sue at the top, 1,240 feet, trying to hang on in what must have been 35 mph plus gusts. Another mile hike takes you over to 1,357 foot peak with a fire tower that you can climb up. I did that once, and that's enough for me — 1,240 feet is plenty for me....
Sue and Beau charging down off the top. The wind was so strong, it could have blown you over if you got yourself off balance. It was really strong....
Beau romping through the tall grass in a field across from where we pulled over to park. You can see his orange "Don't shoot me I'm an f'n dog!" jacket.
Beautiful limb overhang across the access road. This is the exact spot we got caught in that monster of a rain storm on our hike .
Sue kicking the ball around for Beau after we got back. Note that Beau does not grasp fetching the ball in any way....
She gets it right to him....
but no response....
