Sue and I headed over to Marissa's for Mia's 4th Birthday party Sunday 06/23/19. What a great party that was, and the weather couldn't have been any better.

We got there just before noon, and most of the folks had already arrived. There were some little ones that Mia played with, and she seemed to have a good time with minimal meltdowns. She was all over the place.
Though clear and sunny, the wind was really blowing. But that kept the heat down, and there were nice places to hide from it under the trees. Quite a few of the kids and some of the adults took advantage of the raised pool, and splashed around most of the afternoon.
Our special gift for Mia was a book that Sue had written for her, and my long time friend and karate disciple David Landers had done the illustrations for. The book is called Mia Finds Magic, and is the story of when Mia came to visit us. We knew that she was fascinated with unicorns, and had taken her out to a farm telling her that we'd look for a unicorn there. And there was this beautiful white horse that inspired Sue to write the whole experience up as a story.

Chuck had specifically come out for a visit so that he could be at Mia's party. He had a great time with her, and meeting all of his new relatives and their friends. We left for home about 4:30 as we had to let Beau out, but heard that Chuck and the kids stayed up almost to Midnight having a great time.
