The Great 2015 Halloween Backgammon Tournament And Mummy Dogs Party! 10/31/15

Sue kicked off The Great 2015 Halloween Backgammon Tournament And Mummy Dogs Party! with a speciality Margaritta drink, though I just stayed with a glass of red wine. Current Picture

I had started fixing the Mummy Dogs, large sausages stuffed with Monteray Jack cheese, and wrapped in strips of crescent roll dough. It took forever to wrap those dogs! Gad!

I was truly ready to go into the living room with Sue after she finished prep work on her masterpiece desert: Dead Eyes Pound Cake. We got a few games of backgammon played before folks started arriving. What a hoot! Everyone had dressed up in costume even though I had said to just take it easy and not stress out.

Sue had herself all done up as an injured nurse, I think it was she said. Regardless, great stuff. I had just put on an oriental silk smoking jacket that I had from years ago, even though I never smoked, tied my hair up in a knot on top of my head as the ancient Samurai, and stuffed a karate boken, or wooden sword, into the belt of the jacket.

It was a hell of a party! Great friends, great food, and the great, if not classic (well not for some....), 1981 John Carpenter movie: Escape From New York.
