The Great 2012 Cinco De Mayo Backgammon Tournament And Get Ready For Summer Rice and Beans Fest! 05/05/12
I started working on the Santa Fe Rice and Beans meal that I was fixing for Saturday May 5th The Great 2012 Cinco De Mayo Backgammon Tournament And Get Ready For Summer Rice and Beans Fest! Sue had to work all day but got home in time to fix a pitcher of Margarita's for the party.
We set up the backgammon board and got right into that and playing through a set before Tim arrived. He was followed shortly by Rick, and then the Nancarrows, who brought bread pudding and fruit for desert. The movie of the night was the appropriate 1964 spaghetti western, Fist Full of Dollars.
After everyone left around 10:pm, Sue and I hopped into the car to go chase the moon. Yup, Sue had heard that it would be a super moon: 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than a normal full moons as it takes its closest pass to earth all year.
We got some shots from the Hannaford food store's lot, then drove down and parked along Back River Road for awhile. It was a good spot, but we had to wait a long time between shots as the cloud cover was really thick. From there, we scotted down to the water by the Scammell Bridge park, back to the Back River Road spot, the Middle School parking lot on 108, and 2 final shots right in the condo parking lot.

I'm ready to party!
And Tim is ready to party!
Tim putting it to Sue. I wouldn't do that if I were you, Tim....
Sue learns fast how to put the bat-ju-ju to her opponent. How's it feel, Rick, to get a redirected hit from Tim through Sue?
Lost in the kitchen trying to cook!
But not too busy for a cold Corona
Gad, Rick and Tim at it yet again....
Quite in the cheap seats as Tim makes his throw....
Jim and Chris arrive with desert!
Me pontificating about kitty litter, belly button lint, and other worldly concerns, no doubt.
