Movie Night At The Garrison: 30 Days of Night 08/14/09

I had found out a few weeks ago that a couple of folks in our backgammon group hadn't seen the really scary but well done movie 30 Days of Night so I held a Movie Night At The Garrison Friday night after work.

A few came early at 6:00pm and while I fixed tacos, the backgammon games raged in the other room.

We ate til we were stuffed, and then watched the vampires rip the crap out of the townspeople of Barrow, Alaska as the sun dropped under the horizon for 30 days... well, of night.

Brian came early and was ready for some over the board action.

And Rick was there to give it to him...

A pause in the action.

We're absolutely ready to get the movie going!

Jin and Chris have been ready and wondering when the rest of us are going to get on with it...

Chris Nancarrow had made these 'brownies' for us? Brownies? But, Chris... they weren't brown and there wasn't any chocolate... How can they be 'brownies'?? But that's what they were called, made of some kind of lemmon and pie crust and whipped cream and... and, man! were they good.

Good thing Chris brought those 'borwnies' because Linda discovered at the last minute that the frozen apple pie she had brought had to be baked and not just unfrozen. She redeemed herself though because she had brought all of the taco fixings as well as a box of great ice cream.
