April showers may bring May flowers but this backgammon tournament and dinner feed brought smiles to all who came. Since it was an 'April Showers' event, I mandated that anyone who came had to wear rain gear to this thing, threatening make anyone who didn't do something stupid and embarrassing. Everyone at least walked in the door dressed appropriately.

It was a great time. Just a few of us, but fun. I only got to play a couple of games because I was busy cooking. But that's okay. However, it would make things much easier if I'd just stay with the recipe, but I had inspiration and it was mav-oh-lous - even Steve who doesn't do vegetables had two large helpings as did Rick! Not sure about Tim, but I also did two.

All set for me to start chopping stuff up before everyone arrives - though I still didn't get much playing time in because I was busy cooking.

Here's my qualifying rain gear. I didn't wear the jacket because I would have roasted to death - Spring is finally here and it was in the sixties out. With cooking... nawwww, I think I'll pass on the jacket.

Marissa and Gary had been busy on a project so didn't show up until just after we had finished dinner. And they weren't in the proper gear. However, because they brought a peace offering of a new oil and vinegar salad dressing container they had bought for me, I let the Spring Showers Wrath pass for them.

The combatants shifted partners all night until we started the movie of the night, Alien Vs. Predator - Requiem, a truly infantile three beer movie if there ever was one. But just our speed!
