The view from the back of the house during the early March "Blizzard of 2001". We got about 20"- It was an awesome storm. Took me over 6 hours of shoveling to clear off the roof, driveway, and dig my car out. Both Colin and Marissa were a big help to "the old man". |
No trouble getting the kids up during the the early March "Blizzard of 2001": no school! What better time to play with the dog and get wet and cold! |

Another shot of the kids on one of the snow piles in the front of the house after the early March "Blizzard of 2001". They are holding up a get well card they had made for their friend Candy. |

Here's a view of Baltimore's Inner Harbor area shot from a water taxi we took to get over to Ft. McHenry. There is so much to do and see: the Science Museum with a special Titanic sinking exhibit, the National Aquarium, a submarine, a coast guard lightship, the Tall Ship Constellation, shops, a great food court, and ESPN Zone for the kids, and more! Needless to say, we did most of it on our August vacation. |

We took the Baltimore Inner Harbor Water Taxi out to the Ft. McHenry State Park during our Aug 2001 vacation. What a spectacular site! |
We rented a car in Towson and drove to Colonial Williamsburg, VA. The trip only took about 4 hours. Here is a street scene of the main village area. |

I should have bought this device from the Colonial Williamsburg folks as it appears to be able to solve issues pretty quickly... |

Just a really pretty picture of Portsmouth's Prescott Park gardens in early September. |
The wind was really blowing Sunday 09/30. We must have seen 6 or 8 of these small racing sloops go over. Though they righted quickly, it must have been a really cold ride from then on for those skippers. In fact, we saw one boat lose her mast about 1/3rd of the way up. The wind was that strong. The picture certainly doesn't do the view justice, but it does show them swarming past Linnet's Wings with two just about to go over (the closer one did). Of course by this time I was itching to go out and get into it! But I kept my emotions in tow and stayed ashore. |

Here's the Thomas Leighton passing by the house on a Fall foliage tour. |
Pat caught this terrific picture of our birch tree in the back during the first snow storm of the season. |

Pat caught this terrific picture of Colin braving the first snow storm of the season out at the end of the dock. Colin has refused to pull in the dingy because the weather has been so nice up until now that he has been able to putt around in the cove. He wanted to wait until the last minute to pull it. I think that minute has arrived... |
