Chuck flew in from Chicago Thursday evening 03/12/20 for a weekend visit. He went straight from the airport to Marissa's as he always does.

Thursday 03/12
Staying at Marissa's this time would be special, though, because it would be his first time at their new home. I know he was excited about that, and texted how beautiful it was, and that he — like all of us — thought the view they have is really nice.

Friday 03/13
Friday Colin got together with Chuck for the day, and then Chuck came over to the house late afternoon to go out to dinner at The Lodge at Smith Point — where we had last been with him 10/20/19 to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.

While Chuck was off with Colin, Sue and I got the Bolognese sauce cooked for Saturday night's dinner party here at the house. Though the prep work is fairly straight forward, it did take awhile to get the point where I could just let it simmer for a couple of hours.

Saturday 03/14
Saturday Chuck came over to the house, and we just had a relaxing day until it was time for some wine, and combat—trash—talkin' backgammon. The Spaghetti Bolognese was soooooo good, I couldn't believe it. And Sue topped off the night with a great lemon ricotta with mixed berries and biscotti.

The demise of our last sips out of our last bottle of the fabled Czechoslovakian Kruskovac Pear Liqueur. Unfortunately, it was sooooo old that it wasn't any good to drink. I have a long connection to this through my parents, and a story of how my karate disciple David Landers bought a case of it back a long, long, very long time ago. He had given us 4 bottles of it, and this was the last of it...

Sunday Chuck spent at Marissa's, and then Colin met them to go out for dinner.

Monday 03/16
Monday Chuck came over for an early lunch with us, and then was off to the airport to head home.
