Mia Sleep Over 02/21/19

After taking Sue to physical therapy Thursday morning 02/21/19, we drove over to Marissa's work to pick Mia up for a sleep over at our house.

She was all geared up for that. She was so excited to go out back to snow shoe and then sledding with Sue. I got some great pictures, and even a neat short video of her and Sue flying down the hill on Mia's sled. Not sure who had more fun, Mia or Sue.

After they came in and got warmed up, we sat in the living room watching a series of short animated dragon movies on tv. We took a break from that to go into the kitchen so Mia could help Sue make dinner: Pigs In A Blanket and Ants On A Log (celery sticks smeared with peanut butter with raisins on top). While the adults seemed to enjoy it, Mia was less enthused, probably because she got wrapped up in the movie Happy Feet while eating dinner picnic style on the living room floor. But she did gobble down some mac and cheese, so she wasn't hungry.

We thought it might be difficult for her in a new environment to get to sleep, but it went smoothly. Sue and I took turns reading to her from a book she had brought with her, and then said our good-nights. We never heard a peep from her until around 6:30 the next morning!

After eating her breakfast, she and Sue went back out to take another couple of sledding runs on the hill. When they got back in, we had to get her packed up, and into her gymnastic class gear. After driving her down to Atlantic Gymnastics in Dover and watching her work out, we took her back to Marissa. She had been a perfect guest, and was all smiles. Lots of fun for all of us!
