I thought we should celebrate the passing of Labor Day and the official end of Summer. Because this was a "get off the beach" theme, I told everyone that they needed to wear casual beach goin' clothes and to bring sunglasses and a beach towel. We celebrated 12 years here at the Garrison, actually moving in on June 11, 2004. But now that we're in full new house hunting mode, and me retiring we'll pick these parties up again at our next home!

The Great 2018 One Year At Berry Road Backgammon Tournament And Ice Melting Spaghetti Bolognese Party!  —  Sue and I held our first open house backgammon dinner party here in New Durham Saturday 01/13/18. This was exactly 1 year from our closing date of Jan. 13, 2017, actually moving in March 13, 2017 after renovations work had been completed. I fixed what I termed: Ice Melting Spaghetti Bolognese to push back the frigid temperatures that we had been having for the previous weeks, and Sue made up a bunch of Frosted Velvet Cake Balls as a special desert for us.
