Sue and I wanted to have all the kids over for Christmas Eve dinner.

We invited Colin and Ren, Marissa, Gary, and Mia, and Sue's kids, Lucas and Jill for dinner.

Unfortunately, Marissa had a horrible migraine and decided she'd better stay home as Christmas Day she was hosting 14 people! But it was just a lovely time.

Jill had driven all the way up from Westerly, RI to Bedford to drop her dog off and see her dad briefly before coming over here. I planned to eat early so that Jill and Lucas could drive back over to Bedford to their dads so they'd be there Christmas Day.

Sue took Jill and Lucas out for a Thai lunch in Dover, I went food shopping and got a fire ready in the fireplace. Sue came back and dropped Lucas off so he could get some last minute work done, and then she and Jill went for a walk along the rive in downtown Dover. I posted a few of the pictures that she took in the deep fog that hung over us all day.

By the time they got back, I had done most of the food prep work for the sauted chicken and shrimp with vegitables that I thought everyone would enjoy. Lucas came downstairs just before Colin and Ren arrived, and we had a lovely time opening gifts and chatting before dinner.
